BAM Testing Available for Local Athletes
As the concept of metrics expands throughout sports, since 2009, BAM has been the leader in standardized testing and data acquisition.
BAM (Basic Athletic Measurement) again will be administering the athletic testing component at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. BAM uses the latest technology to determine performance metrics for athletes. This year BAM will be offering additional testing at the P.I.T. to any draft-eligible athlete. This testing will replicate the NBA Pre Draft.
This testing will benefit the athlete and agent by:- Allowing integration of test scores into the database sent to NBA and International Teams, thus providing improved exposure
- Allowing comparison within the database to establish strengths and weaknesses
- Benchmarking performance parameters, which lead to improved retest scores. Statistical analysis shows a 2-10% improvement for athletes retested at the NBA Rookie Combine.
