Known for filling the stat sheet at UAB, point guard Eric Gaines did the same for Mike Duman Auto Sales Wednesday night at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

The 6-foot-2 Gaines scored 10 points, handed out 10 assists and grabbed four rebounds in Mike Duman’s 93-86 win over Norfolk Sports Club at Churchland High School.
The dynamic Gaines controlled the tempo with penetration and deft passing, setting the table for his teammates. Six of Mike Duman’s eight players scored in double figures, led by big man Tyrese Samuel of Florida and guard Jarod Lucas of Nevada, who had 19 points each.
Guard Quincy Olivari of Xavier and forward Isaac Jones of Washington State scored 20 points each for Norfolk Sports Club. Jones shot 9 of 12 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds. Olivari had eight boards.
